Josephine Tramonte

Josephine Tramonte, 81, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 18 at Indian Hills Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Rockford, Ill., to John and Mary (Leggio) Tramonte. She moved to Council Bluffs in 1923. She was a laborer at Campbell Soup Co. in Omaha for 43 years. She was a member of Queen of the Apostles Church, Omaha Eagles Club Auxiliary and a volunteer for many years at Indian Hills Nursing Home.

Mrs. Tramonte was preceded in death by her brothers, George and Phil Tramonte.

Survivors include one sister, Lena DeSantiago, of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Joseph Tramonte of Council Bluffs and Sam Tramonte and wife, Doris, of Ocoee, Fla.; 11 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews; eight great-great nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be Friday at 7 p.m. followed by family visitation until 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Queen of the Apostles Church with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, followed by lunch in the Parish Hall.

Memorials may be offered to Queen of the Apostles Church.
