Avis Edie

Avis Lucille Edie, 79, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 18 in Council Bluffs.

She was a clerk with Goodrich.

Mrs. Edie was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, on March 10, 1987.

Survivors include five daughters, Bonnie Edie, Judy McClain and husband, Michael, Susan Kramer and husband, Russell, all of Council Bluffs, Marlene Hite and husband, Robert, of Glenwood and Peggy Edie of Council Bluffs; one son, Terry, and wife, Dora, of Parsons, Kan.; two sisters, Clara McMurtrie of Monteca, Calif., and Marie Steffens of Blair, Neb.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Elder Tom Arnold officiating, followed by luncheon at the VFW Post 274. Burial will be in The Morman Cemetery in Carson Cemetery.
