Walter E. Blizzard

Walter Edmund Blizzard, 93, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 18 at home.

He was born in Council Bluffs. He was a baker at Interstate Bakery in Omaha, retiring in 1965. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Mr. Blizzard and his wife, June, were married 50 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Michelle Blizzard, of Council Bluffs; one son, Walter "Matt", and wife, Celia, of Omaha; one brother, John, of Clearwater, Fla.; grandson, Nathan Blizzard.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at McCurdy Funeral Home. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the the Rev. Ken Gross officiating. Burial will be in Garner Township Cemetery.
