WRIGHT, RETIRED FIREMAN, IS DEAD

Served Department Twenty-one Years
Edward T Wright, 70, retired city fireman and Spanish war veteran, died early Wednesday at a local hospital after nearly a year and a half of declining health. His home was at 3001 Avenue E.

Mr Wright retired in 1931 after twenty-one years of service.

He served in Cuba during the Spanish-American War as a private with Troop A, 7th Cavalry. He was a member of Louis A Wegner camp No. 18, United Spanish War Veterans.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs.Hazel Wright; four sons, Joseph E, Earl R, and Jud P. Wright of Council Bluffs, and Thomas Maloney Wright of California; four daughters, Mrs. Frances V. Furlong, Mrs. Hazel Geiger and Mrs. Elizabeth Roarty of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Mary Sunderstead of California.

He leaves also four brothers, Earnest R Wright of Council Bluffs, Lionel Judson Wright of Dodge Center, Minn., Bert Wright of Omaha and Pearl O. Wright of Council Bluffs.

The body is at Woodring's funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery.
