Daniel R. Schmitt

Daniel "Boone" Raymond Schmitt, 41, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 16 at home.

He was born March 18, 1961, in Council Bluffs to Wayne and Donna (Norman) Schmitt. He worked maintenance at the courthouse.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Schmitt, of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Stephanie Pierce and husband, Douglas, and Jayne Schmitt, all of Council Bluffs; three brothers, David and wife, Lynette, Jeffrey and Randy and wife, Kathy, all of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
