Harry Wooten

Harry Maynard Wooten, 76, of Red Oak died Dec. 11 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Born to Charlie and Beryle (Wilson) Wooten of Clarinda, he was raised and attended high school in Clarinda.

He lived most of his life in western Wyoming, working in the lumber and construction industries and as a truck driver. He moved to Red Oak in 1994.

Mr. Wooten is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Leek) Long. They were married in 1965.

Other survivors include seven sons, Harold and wife, Linda, of Bremerton, Wash., Charles and wife, Donna, of Tulsa, Okla., James and wife, Joyce, of Essex, Daniel and wife, Lou, of Shenandoah, Kenneth and wife, Janice, of Red Oak, Marvin and wife, Carmela, of Washougal, Wash., and Jackie and wife, Penny, of Casa Grande, Ariz.; three daughters, Harriet Funk and husband, Terry, of El Paso, Texas, Lela Keefer and husband, Ken, of Tulsa, and Linda Traxler of Shenandoah; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
