Herbelena Cullison

The funeral for Herbelena (Lewis) Cullison, 76, of Council Bluffs will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill- Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Petri of Timothy Lutheran Church officiating.

Mrs. Cullison died Dec. 14 at Risen Son Christian Village.

She was born May 27, 1926, in West Virginia to Herbert Caldwell and Ernestine Elkins. She moved to Council Bluffs in 1968. She was a dietician at Lutheran Hospital in Omaha for 10 years. She was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Cullison was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lewis, and her second husband, Jim Cullison. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ernestine Peck.

Survivors include two daughters, Glena Kjeldgaard and husband, Duane, of Council Bluffs and Sandra Kenny and husband, Tim, of Omaha; two sons, John Lewis and wife, Angie, of Council Bluffs and James Lewis and wife, Barbara, of Bellevue, Neb.; three sisters, Betty Jarrell of West Virginia, Gladys Dixon and Katie Aito, both of Ohio; one brother, Frank Caldwell, of Michigan; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lewis Township Cemetery with a luncheon following at Timothy Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be offered to the Timothy Lutheran Church and Scleraderma Foundation.
