AVOCA - The funeral for Irene C. Ehlers Jacobsen, 88, of Harlan will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Knutson Funeral Chapel in Avoca with Wayne Paulsen officiating.

Mrs. Jacobsen died Dec. 14 at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan.

She was born near Minden. She previously lived in Avoca, Minden, Council Bluffs and Tama. She moved to Harlan 16 years ago. She was a clerk at Rexall Drugstore in Tama, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles in Tama.

Mrs. Jacobsen was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 1971. They were married 36 years.

Survivors include one niece and two nephews.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minden Cemetery.
