Donald L. Adams

AVOCA - The funeral for Donald L. Adams, 64, of Shelby will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church north of Harlan with the Rev. Al Hazelton officiating.

Mr. Adams died Dec. 7 at home.

He was born in Oskaloosa. He was a 1957 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He was a U.S. Navy Seabee. He was a crane operator for Alter Trading Co. in Council Bluffs. He was a member of Christian Motorcyclist Association, Gold Wing Touring Association, Retreads of Iowa Motorcycle Club and First Assembly of God Church in Harlan.

Mr. Adams and his wife, Elaine, were married 37 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, John of Concord, Calif., and Thomas of Laramie, Wyo.; mother, Irene Adams, of Oskaloosa; five sisters, Donna Meyers of Colona, Ill., Janice Katko of Eddyville, DeAnn Harsh of Ankeny, Twyla Pool of Ava, Mo., and Dixie Miller of Phoenix.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca. Burial will be in Shelby Cemetery.
