Dwayne E. Overholtzer

The funeral for Dwayne E. Overholtzer, 66, of Council Bluffs will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Evan Williams officiating.

Mr. Overholtzer died Dec. 7 at Northcrest Care Center.

He was born March 31, 1936, in Tingley to Wayne A. and Ellen B. (Eckerman) Overholtzer. He previously lived in Hutchison and Dodge City, Kan., moving to Council Bluffs in 1962. He was a 1954 graduate of Tingley High School. He was buyer and seller in the Food Service Industry for many years. He retired in 1998 from Shared Services after five years of service. He was a member of Broadway Christian Church.

Mr. Overholtzer and his wife, Rosemary (Casey), were married Nov. 25, 1955.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Bretton C. and wife, Eileen, of Lenex, Kan., and David W. and wife, Suzanne, of Council Bluffs; one sister, Joyce Scott, and husband, O'Neal, of Bolivar, Mo.; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Eastside Christian Church.

Memorials may be offered to Broadway Christian Church or Lee Ann Britian Infant Development Center in Overland Park, Kan.
