Robert L. Taylor, age 65, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Omaha, passed away November 13, 2007, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was born August 9, 1942, in Omaha to the late Robert W. and Elizabeth (Lohmann) Taylor. He served our country in the US Army. Bob worked for Taylors Tree Service, Vrana Construction and retired from Nagl Manufacturing as a supervisor after 23 years of service. He was a member of Midwest Family Worship Center and was a minister of music at local nursing homes.

Bob was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Taylor, Betty Sheets and lifetime friend, Frank Constanzo.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Angela (Kelso) Taylor; daughter, Tricia Peterson and husband, Shawn, all of Council Bluffs; son, Michael Taylor of Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughters, Robin Frieze of St. Joe, Mo., Rogena Liddick of Sac City, Iowa; stepson, Steven Liddick of St. Joe, Mo.; 4 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; sister, Jeannie Mohlzahn of Agra, Kan.; and brother, William "Bud" Taylor of Omaha.

Visitation with the family, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Midwest Family Worship Center with Pastor Debbie Sinkevich officiating. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with military rites tendered by South Omaha American Legion Post #331. A lunch will follow at the church.

The family will direct memorials.
