Harry L. Krohn, age 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Treynor, Iowa, passed away November 3, 2007, at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Harry was born December 18, 1920, in Walnut, Iowa, to the late Detlef and Augusta (Sievers) Krohn. He served our country in the US Army during WWII. Harry was a farmer, a member of Zion Congregational Church and Lamar Hartje American Legion Post #725 in Treynor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Krohn in 2003 and two brothers.

Harry is survived by his three sons, Leonard and wife, Sharon of Chandler, Ariz., Larry and wife, Debra of Solon, Iowa, Randy and Lea Beach of Minden, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Fred Krohn and wife, Willie of Council Bluffs; sisters-in-law, Betty Krohn of Shelby, Emmy Lou Krohn of Council Bluffs, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family, Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Zion Congregational Church in Treynor. Funeral Service, Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Alan Hardy, pastor officiating. Interment Zion Cemetery with military rites tendered by Lamar Hartje American Legion Post #725. A lunch will follow at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Treynor American Legion, Lamar Hartje Post #725.
