Wendell Dwight Kullbom, the son of John and Jennie (Bates) Kullbom, was born April 10, 1935, at Carson, Iowa, and died October 31, 2007, at the VA Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 21 days.

Wendell is survived by his wife, Nancy of Oakland; his children and grandchildren: Sherry Shald and husband, Norman and their children, Sara and Jeremiah; John Kullbom and wife, Elaine and their children, Sydney, Lilyan, and Madelyn; and Jenny Pertzborn and husband, Dan and their children, Haley and Zoe; his great grandchild, Anton; his sister, Roberta Turner; and his sisters-in-law, Eva Kullbom, Dorothy Liddell and Betty Kullbom.

A Memorial visitation with family and friends was held on Monday, November 5, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, at the Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland. Immediately following, everyone is invited to meet with the family for lunch, at the Christian Church Basement. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
