Shanaye L. Collins, age 28, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away at her residence on Sunday.

Shanaye was born in Council Bluffs. She attended Fremont Mills High School, then went on to college at Phoenix University. She worked in the accounting department at John Day Company in Omaha.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, LaVern Collins and Elizabeth Peterson.

She is survived by daughter, Madelyn Lemrick of Omaha; parents, Fred and Cindy Collins of Council Bluffs; mother, Charlotte Doueiry of Blair, Neb.; brothers and sisters, Alysia, Crystal, Erica, Eric, Marcus, Delton, Tyler and Dakota Collins; Alexa and Naji Doueiry; paternal grandmother, Teresa Collins; maternal grandparents, Alma Jefferis and Charles Peterson; numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service Thursday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
