Alvie Lyle Haines, 101, died November 1, 2007, at the Oakland Manor in Oakland, Iowa.

Alvie was the son of Job and Mattie (Hendrix) Haines, was born September 23, 1906, at Forrest City, Mo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakland Christian Church.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
