M. Lucille Ward (1922-2007)

M. Lucille Ward, age 85, of Council Bluffs, passed away October 21, 2007.

Lucille was born February 14, 1922, in Geronimo, Okla., to the late William C. and Clara C. (Scheu) Mallow. She married Melvin B. Turner, on August 14, 1938. They made their home in Big Spring, Texas. Melvin passed away in May of 1961. She married Charles Ward in 1966. Lucille lived in Oklahoma City, Okla., for ten years, where she was a dorm mother at Oklahoma Christian University, during the 1970's. She move to the Council Bluffs area where she retired as a nurses aide at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Lucille was a member of Church of Christ, on McPherson Ave.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Lisa Ward; brothers, Jay D. Mallow and R.L. Mallow.

Lucille is survived by three daughters, Melva Stephens and husband Bill, of Ellston, Iowa, Terral Becker and husband Stanley, of Nashua, N.H., Cora Sue Dye and husband Don, of Roundrock, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Maudie Laycock, of Canyon, Texas; brother, Elwood Mallow and wife Helen, of Oklahoma; half brothers, Hassen Dow of Hugo, Okla., and Donnie Dow and wife Pat, of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Visitation with the family, Tuesday, 7-9 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Church of Christ, McPherson Ave. A lunch will immediately follow the service. Interment, Trinity Memorial Cemetery, in Big Spring, Texas.

Memorials are suggested to the Madonna School, in Omaha.
