Howard A. Krueger, age 88, of Reddick, Ill. died at 11:10 a.m., Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Miller Health Care Center, Kankakee, Ill.

Mr. Krueger was born October 15, 1918, in Hancock, Iowa, to Fred and Ruth Kerber Krueger. He married Ruth Deutschman, August 29, 1940, in Elwood, Ill. Mr Krueger was a member of the Zoar Evangelical United Brothern Church. He was a farmer, farming until the fall of 2006. He sold Crows seed corn for many years and was one of the first in the area to plant hybrid corn and use chemical fertilizers. He introduced areal field spraying, in the area, in the early 1950's. He enjoyed is cattle, chickens, cats, and his dog, Ginger.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; sister and brother-in-law, Frieda (Herbert) Dipple, and a brother and sister-in-law, Harvey (Norma) Krueger.

He is survived by a daughter, Geraldine (Lewis) Bodamer, Princeton, Ill.; 2 sons, Vernon (Kathleen) Krueger, Reddick and Norman (Joyce) Krueger, Herscher, Ill.; 5 nieces and 5 nephews.

A private graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 3rd, at Round Grove Cemetery, in rural Dwight, Ill., with Rev. William Dean officiating. Hager Memorial Home, in Dwight, is in charge of arrangements.
