James W. "Jim" Herrill, age 54, of Spencer, Iowa, formerly from McClelland, Iowa, passed away at his in Spencer on Monday, September 17, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth (Tallman) Herrill of McClelland.

He is survived by his son, Leland Herrill of Spencer; daughter, Nicole Herrill of Council Bluffs; grandson, Joshua Herrill of Spencer; sisters, Ruth Ellen Nelson of Seattle, Wash., Marjorie Dietrich of Omaha, Neb., Jean Polansky of Stevenson, Wash.; Becky Taylor of Council Bluffs; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at Mt. Hope Methodist Church, 290th St. and Highway 6, McClelland, at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 27th, followed by a gathering of family and friends at the McClelland Town Hall.
