Kathy Ann Buck of Waukee, IA passed away Friday, 27 Apr 2007. She had attained the age of 49 years, three months, and 17 days.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, 3 May at 11am at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, IA with Rev. Nancy Ross-Hullinger officiating. Serving as casket bearers were Vince GUYER, Chad BLADT, Travis STEPPHENS, Jim HARVEY, Jeff CARMAN and Bob DALEY. Interment was held in the Graceland Cemetery in Avoca, IA.

Kathey Ann BUCK, the daughter of Wayne & Ruth WETHERELL McARTOR, was born on 10 January 1958 in Sigourney, IA.

She attended school at English Valley School in North English, IA. After high school Kathy worked as a waitress at the Middle America Truck Stop cafe in Williamsburg.

Kathy was united in marriage to Robert BUCK, Jr. on 7 April 1979 at the Shelby Presbyterian Church and together they raised her son, Chad.

It was after their marriage that Kathy attended beauty school in Council Bluffs, IA. After finishing beauty school, Kathy opened and operated a salon out of their home, Kathy's Styling Post. After closing her shop she went to work at the Cornstalk Restaurant in Shelby. She then went to work at Leadway and later returned to the work she enjoyed at the Cornstalk, eventually working there for over 20 years.

In 2006 Kathy moved to Waukee, [IA].

She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her son Chad DENNLER of Avoca; her grandson Brendyn Conn of Avoca; her mother Ruth McARTOR of North English; stepson Jeff BUCK of Washington, DC; three brothers, Larry McARTOR and his wife Coleen of Fairfield, IA, Richard McARTOR of North English and Chuck McARTOR of West Liberty, IA; her boyfriend Jim SHAFFER of Waukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
