Rolland Kuhn (1941-2007)

Rolland "Rollie" Kuhn, 65, passed from this life Sunday, August 12, 2007, at University Medical Center.

Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. There will be a 6:00 p.m. visitation and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night at Resthaven Funeral Home.

He was a lifelong Catholic and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Rolland was born September 29, 1941, in Hayes, Kansas.

His parents were Ben H. Kuhn and Serafine (Niernberger) Kuhn who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and he was a graduate of the University of Nebraska. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid sportsman, golfer and Harley-Davidson enthusiast.

Rolland is survived by his fiancée Vicki McBride, two sisters, Margaret Argotsinger and husband, Steve of Council Bluffs, Mary Kay Hanson and husband, Don of Georgetown, Texas; brother, Richard Kuhn of Council Bluffs. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Two special people who survive him are Joey Sevart, his friend, and Toni Cole, a loyal employee and friend of 20 years.

He will be remembered as a very kind and caring individual. He was very generous with his time and finances to many worthy causes, one of his favorites being the Make A Wish Foundation. His loyalty to his friends was endless and his scores of friends are too many to list.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Make A Wish Foundation or Christ the King Catholic Church.
