Donald E. Smith, 74 of Des Moines, died Saturday, March 10th at Taylor Hospice House with his family by his side.
He was born in Des Moines on June 25, 1937 to Willie Smith and Velda Wease.
Over the years he was a truck driver for Des Moines Asphalt, Petticord Trucking, and JMT Trucking. He enjoyed gardening and coin collecting.
Don is survived by his wife, Lois Smith. His children, Debra Smith, Donna O'Neill, Daniel Smith, and Denise Augustine. Three brothers, four sisters, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, his Father, a sister, and a daughter, Karla Bagley.
Don will be cremated with no services planned.
