Lloyd "Lucky" Landers, 84, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Altoona Nursing and Rehab. He was born May 12, 1927, in Howe, NE to Marion & Marie Landers. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines, with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery.
He was a member of East Side Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed riding horses.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Linda (Raymond) Gundlach; his son, Morris Landers; sister, Kathrine; brothers Manny and Billie; five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is wife Elsie, parents Marion and Marie, and his son, Freddy.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Altoona Nursing and Rehab in loving memory of Lloyd.
