OBITUARY
James Lee Lynch, 82 of Urbandale, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, of lymphoma.

Jim was born February 19, 1940, in Lineville, Iowa. He served in the Army National Guard, based in Chariton, Iowa, from 1962-68. During this time, he married his high school sweetheart, June Bryan on June 30, 1963. They were blessed with three sons.

Jim worked for Firestone/Bridgestone in Des Moines for 30 and half years. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially attending his grandkids activities. Farming was his favorite pastime where he managed the family farm and enjoyed fishing.

Jim is survived by his wife and his three sons: Christopher (Kristie) Lynch of Urbandale, IA; Gregory (Susan) Lynch of Clive, IA; Jamie (Crystal) Lynch of Urbandale, IA; his five grandchildren: Morgan and Madilyn Lynch, Katelyn and Isabelle Lynch, and Oakley Lynch; his sister Glenda Arthur of Adel and his sister-in-law Karen Lynch of Indianola, Iowa, and his sibling-in-laws Jack and Laura Bryan of Waukee, IA. He is preceded in death by his brother Robert Lynch and his brother-in-law Robert Arthur.

The family will greet friends Friday, August 26, 2022, from 1-2 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3600 75th Street, Urbandale, Iowa, 50322. Services celebrating his life will follow at 2 pm with a burial service at Glendale Cemetery with military honors.
