Nate was born in Des Moines and baptized at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong resident of West Des Moines and a member of the Valley High School Class of 2006. Nate was a self-employed contractor who gave his heart and soul to his business. He loved all sports, especially basketball, and was an avid Hawkeye fan. He was a very social and loving guy with a heart of gold.

Nate will live on and give new life to others, thanks to his decision to donate his organs and tissue. He was a “Gift of Life” organ donor.

The gift of bone can help many people. Potential recipients of bone include children suffering from congenital deformities, patients with bone cancer and victims of spinal injuries.
