Des MoinesGertrude Hendricks Bucholz, 85, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at a Cresco Iowa Nursing Home.
Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines. Gertrude was born on March 17, 1925 at Decorah, Iowa. She graduated from the Iowa School for the Deaf in 1944 and had been employed at the Schuzle and Burch Biscuit Company in Des Moines. She was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church for the Deaf, the Ladies Aid Society of the Church and the Iowa Association for the Deaf.
Gertrude is survived by her two sons, Horace and Jeff Hendricks and several grandchildren and her husband Lawrence and his five children and families. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Church for the Deaf.
