Maxine G. Jorgenson (Grandma Mickey), 89, was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 28, 2012 at Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa.

She was born August 3, 1922 in Elk Point, South Dakota to Oluf and Johanna Johnson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5615 SW 14th St. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Maxine is survived by a sister, Dorothy Welch; her children, David (Mary Lou) Jorgenson, Gloria (Rick) Walraven, Douglas (Beth) Jorgenson, and Roger (Debbie) Jorgenson; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert V. Jorgenson; grandson, Jason Jorgenson; three sisters and six brothers.
