Died at Des Moines.
From a Des Moines Leader that comes to us we learn that the mother of Mrs. R. C. Barrett, died at the home of State Supt. Barrett in that city, on the 12th, inst., aged 68 years. Her maiden name was Ellen Margaret Armour, born in south Carolina in 1833, married to Henry Dean at St. Louis, where she lived until early in the seventies, when she removed to southern Minnesota, where her husband died in 1889. She was the mother of eleven children, religiously educated in the old Covenanter faith, and of a strong religious nature.
