Otto A. Tennant, 85, died Saturday, November 29, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center from Pneumonia. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Dunn's Funeral Home where a Masonic Service will be at 7 p.m. A private graveside service will be held Thursday at Masonic Cemetery.

Otto was born in Grundy Center, IA and grew up in Colfax. After school and jobs in the East and service in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he moved to Des Moines in 1945. He retired in 1983 from Iowa Power and Light Company. He was active in many engineering societies, state and local community groups, many Masonic bodies and other organizations too numerous to mention.

Otto is survived by his wife Marjorie Doll Tennant of Des Moines and son, John Otto Tennant of Eagon, MN. Memorial contributions are directed to the Shrine Children's Hospitals. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register Mon 01 Dec 2003.
