Pink Ray, 71, of 2555 Wedgewood Road died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, and burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Ray was born in Pulaski, Tenn., and moved to Des Moines 25 year ago. He retired from National By-Products and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Two sisters, Mattie Coleman and Betty Noble, both of Detroit, survive.

Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. ~ The Des Moines Register, Wed 14 Aug 1991.
