FREEBURN

Florence Kurtzweil Freeburn 85, of 500 First Ave. North, Altoona died of a heart ailment Thursday, May 19, at Altoona Manor Care Center. Services were held Saturday, May 21, at Altoona United Methodist Church with burial in Altoona Cemetery.

Mrs. Freeburn was born in Des Moines and had lived in Altoona since 1961. She was a retired secretary at Rutgers University.

She was past president of Polk County Federation of Women's Clubs and a member of Polk County Farm Bureau Women, Telephone Pioneers of America, Chapter M.C. PEO and Altoona United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Ernest Kurtzweil of Palo Alto, Calif.; and two sisters, Faith Kurtzweil and Doris Robshaw, both of Altoona.
