Left alone in a room for an afternoon nap while his mother was absent in another part of the house, Raymond D. Whitehurst, the 6-months’-old child of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitehurst of Commerce, rolled from the bed Sunday afternoon, and catching his chin on the edge of the bedstead, with his body wedged against the wall, was hung to death.

Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave shows he is buried in Jordan Cemetery and that he was born March 8, 1905 and died September 3, 1905.
