Susan Crandall, 72, passed away January 29, 2013 at Urbandale Healthcare Center. She was born June 18, 1940 in Des Moines, daughter of Robert and Delores (Kurt) Kent.

Sue lived in Des Moines all of her life and was a retired Customer Service Representative from US West. She enjoyed playing bridge, going to garage sales, and attending her grandchildren's events.

Sue is survived by her son, Todd (Caryn) Crandall; grandchildren, Daitin and Caden Crandall; brother, Steve Kent.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Crandall and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand Avenue, West Des Moines, with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dowling Catholic High School, St. Anthony's Foundation, or to Sacred Heart Parish in loving memory of Sue.
