Craig L. Dotson, 53, of Des Moines died suddenly on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Following cremation, memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16 at First Church of God in Des Moines of which he was a member since 1995.

Craig was born on November 25, 1959 in Forrest Park, OH to Eugene and Lillian (Cunningham) Dotson and grew up in Cincinnati, OH. He lived in Las Vegas, NV before coming to Des Moines in 1988. He worked as warehouse supervisor at Johnson Brothers Wine Company. He enjoyed his "fur family", playing golf, and smoking ribs. He always encouraged people to smile.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lynn of Des Moines; his mother, Lillian Dotson of Columbus, OH; three siblings, Cheryl (Russell) Betts, Kristy Dotson and Keith Dotson; nieces and other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene; and two siblings, Kurt Dotson and Karen Hawkins.
