Services for James H. Hardin, 79, of 210 S. E. Porter st., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dunn’s Funeral Home on S. W. Ninth st. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hardin died of heart failure at his home Friday after an extended illness.

Mr. Hardin was a retired brickmason and a member of the Brickmasons Union No. 2 in Des Moines. He had lived in Des Moines 60 years after coming here from Boone his birthplace.

Surviving are his wife, Lulu, Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Lewis, Des Moines; a stepson, William Hall, Santa Rosa, Cal.; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Clark and Mrs. Della Gilhousen, both of Des Moines.
