Kenneth Garbett 81, passed away October 15, 2003 at The Abbey. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the McLaren's Chapel.

Kenneth was born in Melcher, IA and lived most of his life in the Des Moines area. He was a manager of a family owned theatre business in Des Moines and central Iowa, then retired as a truck driver for Corn States Metal. He loved his family and grandchildren, enjoyed woodworking, and was an avid fisherman.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Margaret [Bonfante]of West Des Moines; two sons, Tim of Des Moines, and Kent of Crawford, TX; two daughters, Lisa Sellmeyer of Des Moines and Lori Jorgensen of Des Moines; seven granchildren and one great-grandchild.
