THE IOWA STATE LEADER - Des Moines, Iowa Friday, July 20, 1877

DIED - Mrs. P. C. Rude, at Perry, Iowa, Thursday the 19th inst. The funeral will be in that city tomorrow afternoon, the 21st.

Mrs. Rude was widely known in Des Moines, where she lived for many years, and will be as widely mourned. She was a member of the Episcopal church and a great favorite in society here where she was admired for her many christian virtues and loved for her genial manner and womanly graces.

Her husband was a leading dry goods merchant in this city years ago, being the senior of the firm of Rude & LeBosquet. He afterward removed to Dexter where he continued the business and the family occupied the same high place in society. Mr. Rude is a brother of Mrs. Le Bosquet, of this city, who feels Mrs. Rudes' death as though it was her own sister.
