Frederick G. Wiedman, 65, of Panora died Feb. 19, 2000 of Kidney failure Sunday at Panora Nursing and Rehab Center there. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines, of which he was a member; Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Wiedman was born in Cumming and had lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Panora seven years ago. He was a retired district engineer for US West and coached softball and basketball at All Saints Catholic Church for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Russell of Panora and Patricia McMahon of Newton; a sister, Joanne Beckett of Des Moines; a brother Donald of Des Moines; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Grandview Park Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
