Gerald Wagner, 66, of the 300 block of North Shadyview Boulevard Pleasant Hill, died of cancer Dec. 27, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 Saturday at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Wagner had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a retired bricklayer and a member of the Bricklayers Union..

He is survived by his wife Shirley; two sons, Steven of Des Moines and Dennis of Altoona; three daughters, Shelly Schaffer of Madrid, Mary Ann DeStetano of Pleasant Hill and Patricia Wagner of Des Moines; two sisters, Sandra Conlan and Mille Emerick and a brother Michael, all of Pleasant Hill; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
