Services for Mrs. Alice D. Howard, 76, of 1210 Sixty-fifth St., will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Howard died Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of a stroke after a four-year illness.
Mrs. Townsend was born in Ankeny and lived in Des Moines 48 years. She was a retired clerk.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Grace Tweedt of Slater; two sons, Ivan of Ankeny and Elmer of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Work of Des Moines and Mrs. Mae Farrell of Chester, Ill; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
