Kathryn Anne Howard, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at her son's home.

Kathryn was born on March 10, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Josephine and Rocco Russo, Sr.

She worked as a hair stylist in Des Moines, IA and moved to Arizona in 1989 where she worked as a customer service representative at AT&T until her retirement in 2000. In October of 2003, Karthryn moved to Iowa where she enjoyed playing bingo, cards, crafts, and being with her family. She attended and was an active volunteer at St. Ambrose Cathedral.

Kathryn will be greatly missed by her sons, Wendell (Leslea) Phelps and William (Sandy) Howard; sisters, Emma Polk and Kathy Ludwig; brothers, George, Rocco and Wendell Russo and Mike Phelps; grandchildren, Ian, Anthony, Abbie and Will. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Wendell and Kathryn Phelps.
