Mrs. Wissler is Dead

Services Tuesday for Wife of Herring Motor Company Manager

Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Wissler, who died Saturday at her home, 5001 Country Club Boulevard, will be held at the home at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Burtis Russell MacHatton, pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be in Glendale cemetery.

Mrs. Wissler succumbed after an illness extending over a period of more than a year. She had undergone an operation at Rochester, Minn., for cancer of the stomach about five months ago. Her improvement, however, was temporary and she died after being confined to her bed for several weeks.

She is the only sister of C. L. Herring, president of the Herring Motor Company and the wife of the company’s general manager.

Mrs. Wissler Dies After Long Illness

After an illness of seven months, Mrs. W. E. Wissler, 36 years old, died Saturday evening at her home, 5001 County Club Boulevard.

She was born in Jackson, Michigan and married here twelve years age to Mr. Wissler, who is general manager of the Herring Motor Company. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Laura Helen, 4 years old, and Clara Estelle, 7 years old, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James G. Herring, of Atlantic, Iowa., and a brother, Clyde L. Herring, of the Herring Motor company.

Mrs. Wissler was operated on for cancer of the stomach at Rochester, Minn., five months ago, and for a time, seemed to improve. Her condition for the last few weeks has been critical, and her strength gradually ebbed away.

Mrs. Wissler was a member of several women’s clubs and the Plymouth Congregational church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the family home, the Rev. Burtis R. MacHatton officiating. Burial will be in Glendale cemetery.
