The viewing will commence at 11 a.m. on the 19th hole of the Talons of Tuscany golf course followed by the funeral service. The venue was selected because Fred had the vision of its design and vigilantly oversaw its construction. Following the service the family invites all of Fred's friends to visit and share their memories of him during a luncheon at the clubhouse until 3 p.m. Interment will be at the Lincoln Cemetery overlooking the Town of Alleman at 3:30 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. The family strongly encourages donations be made in lieu of flowers to Iowa Health Hospice in memory of John F. Tomlinson in appreciation of the personal and excellent end of life care that they tirelessly provided for him.

May God take care of him and let his soul rest in peace. For the rest of us, may God give us the wisdom to find the truth, the courage to accept it, and the strength to endure it.
