Services for Mrs. Florence Mally, 89, of Valley View Village, 2600 Avenue Frederick M. Hubbell, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in the Berwick Cemetery at Berwick.

Mrs. Mally died of a heart ailment Monday at Valley View.

Born near Bondurant, she lived in Berwick before moving to Des Moines about three years ago. She was a member of the Berwick United Church of Christ, the Ankeny Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, the Polk County Federation of Women's Clubs and the Polk County Farm Bureau.

She was a retired secretary of the former Woodside Junior High School Board, and organized the Parent-Teacher association at Woodside School in 1912.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emma Howard, and a sister, Stella Thornton, both of Des Moines; a son, Marion D. of Berwick, five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
