Gretchen K. Howard, 92, of Indianola died Friday of a heart ailment at Westview Care Center, where she lived. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oralabor Cemetery in Ankeny.

Mrs. Howard was born in Des Moines and lived in Indianola most of her life. She was a homemaker and belonged to Farmers Chapel Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Farm Bureau women, 4-H and the Garden Club.

Survivors include two sons, Jack and Keith of Indianola; a sister, Mae Mullen of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
