Services for John H. Howard, 58, of 2013 S.E. Sixth St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery at Alleman.

Mr. Howard died of cancer Monday at home. A native of Ankeny, he had lived in Des Moines for 35 years.

He was a retired appliance dealer and member of the Ankeny Church of the Brethren and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 738.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; two sisters, Hazel Moeckly of Ankeny and Lucille Liljegren of Fayetteville, AR., and two brothers, Lawrence Howard of Costa Mesa, CA., and Harold Howard of Elkhart.
born June 20, 1921, died March 3, 1980.
