Kevin James Howard, 53, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on December 25, 1956 in Crescent City, Illinois to Perry and Genevieve Howard.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan; son, Matthew James Howard; special sister-in-law, Dea Howard; special niece, Dawn (Brent) Edwards; grandchildren, Laura, Linzee, Jamie, Kaylee, Natalee, Kevin, James and Genevieve; sister, Jan (Donald) Wilkens; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, James; daughter, Tanya; his parents; and three brothers, Frank, Mike, and Delbert.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona.
