Doris Howard Fitzgerald passed away peacefully at 7:30 a.m., Friday May 28 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri after a long battle with cancer. Doris is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bob, her two sons Andrew and Brian and three step-sons Mike, Marlin and Tony. Doris' siblings are Carol Sampson of Grinnell, Kevin Howard of Des Moines and Sharon Hansen of Iowa City, all in Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at Schweitzer United Methodist Church, 2747 E. Sunshine, Springfield, MO. at 2 p.m. on Sunday June 6, 2010.
