Wilma Faye Vivone, 97, died of natural causes on Thursday, May 27, 2010, exactly seven years after her husband Frank.

She was born in Downing, MO. She was the second child of four children born to Tom and Lenna Lewis on August 12, 1912. She was Irish, English, and Scottish.

Raised on a Missouri farm until she graduated from high school, she entered St. Joseph Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Centerville, MO and blossomed to become a Registered Nurse. In 1937 she married Frank Vivone and continued to nurse, retiring in 1977.

Nursing was her career and love. Hobbies included cooking, baking legendary brownies, sugar cookies and chocolate pies. Gardening and garage sales were also important, yet, her generosity rose above all else.

Survivors include her daughter, Madeleine (Earl) Kelly; son, Frank (Joy); grandchildren, Anne, Kathy, Raina, Mario; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and grandson, Michael E. Kelly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 1 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at Brooks Funeral Care-Tonini Chapel, with a Prayer Vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.
