Gladys passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services for Gladys will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Peterson Funeral Chapel in Carlisle, Iowa, with visitation being held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family being present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Gladys worked at S.E. Polk Schools for the last 15 years and was a past member of the Woodland Community Church.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Harold of Altoona; sons, Robert (Shelleena) of Altoona, Roger (Vicki) of Mitchellville, Dennis (Tammy) of Altoona; brothers, Leon Bos of Runnells, Jayell Bos of Altoona, Doyle Bos of Altoona, and Kenneth Bos of Colfax; sisters, Dorothy Smith of Pleasantville, Mercedes Lane of Runnells; grand-children, Jessica Brown, Sara McConnell, Matthew McConnell, Justin McConnell, Cassie McConnell, Ashlee McConnell, Tanner McConnell, Amber McConnell, Monica McConnell. Gladys was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Herbert.
Memorials may be given to Blank Childrens Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House. Burial will be in Lowman Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa.
