Obituary
Ann Lasell was born in Switcherland Co., Indiana, March 16th 1822 and departed this life at Saylorville , Iowa, June 15, 1907, at the age of 85 yrs, 2 mo, 29 days.

At the age of eighteen she was united in marriage to John T. Wheeler, of Indiana. They resided in Indiana until 1850 when with an ox team they emigrated westward. They came to Iowa and have since made this their home.

Nine children were born to this union; seven of whom are living, James Wheeler, of Polk City, Sarah Sherrill, of Big Timber, Mont., Kate West and Geo. W. Wheeler, of Saylorville, Iowa, G.M. Wheeler, of Ankeny, Mary E. Backus, of Houston, Texas and S. H. Wheeler, of Madrid, Iowa.

Five children were present at Grandma’s death, Mary and Sarah were unable to get here.

Mrs. Wheeler was always kind and good to all and will be missed by many.

The funeral services was conducted by Rev. M. J. Rarick in the Methodist church at Saylorville and the remains laid to rest in the Saylorville cemetery.
